Incumbents of this class are involved in the most difficult and complex assignments relating to the development, implementation, and maintenance of computerized municipal wastewater processes or systems. This class is distinguished from the next lower class of Process and Systems Specialist II in that the incumbents of the latter classes have a more narrow scope of responsibility, do not normally initiate or develop new systems, and are supervised by the Process and Systems Supervisor.
