PAINTER SUPERVISOR, WATER POLLUTION CONTROL (3127)

CLASS PURPOSE

   Under direction, supervises journey level painters and other assigned employees in the preservation and beautification of the Water Pollution Control Plant facilities and equipment, and participates in such work. Performs related work as required.

DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS

   An incumbent of this class supervises specialized journey level painters and other assigned employees at the Water Pollution Control Plant and is responsible for the scheduling, assigning and reviewing of work performed by assigned personnel. This class differs from that of journey level Painters in that the latter do not supervise other journey level Painters. This class supervises Senior Painters and other trades as needed.

Training And Experience

   Any combination of training and experience equivalent to two (2) years of experience as a journey level painter, one (1) of which must be in an industrial environment with the use of exotic coatings in equipment application.

License/Certificates

   Possession of a valid California Driver's License.
