PARK MAINTENANCE REPAIR WORKER I (3412)

CLASS PURPOSE
   Under general supervision, performs a variety of semi-skilled and skilled park maintenance and repair work of routine difficulty. Performs related work as required.

DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS
   This class differs from the next lower class of Groundsworker in that incumbents of that class are more concerned with grounds maintenance. This class differs from the next higher class of Park Maintenance Repair Worker II in terms of responsibility, supervision and skill level.

Training And Experience
    Any combination of training and experience equivalent to completion of high school or possession of a General Educational Development (GED) certificate and three (3) years of experience in parks grounds and park maintenance repair or related repair work.

Licenses/Certificates
   Possession of a valid driver's license authorizing operation of a motor vehicle in the State of California.
   As a condition of employment in some designated positions, possession of a valid State of California Class A or B driver's license with applicable endorsements may be required in the performance of job duties.
