ASSISTANT SWIMMING POOL MANAGER (PT) (6145)

CLASS PURPOSE
   Under general supervision, performs work of moderate difficulty in participating in the management and supervisory function of a City-operated swimming pool facility. Performs related work as required.

DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS
   Incumbents of this class participate with the Swimming Pool Manager in the management and supervision of a City-operated swimming pool facility. Incumbents of this class supervise other pool personnel in the absence of the Swimming Pool Manager. Incumbents of this class may perform life guarding activities and may instruct in all categories of swimming classes.

QUALIFICATIONS
   Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Competency Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Education
   Completion of high school or possession of General Educational Development (GED) Certificate or California Proficiency Certificate.

Experience
   Two (2) full seasons (approximately 760 hours) of work in swimming pool management, life guarding, swimming instruction, or related activity.
