COMMUNICATIONS INSTALLER PART-TIME (8527)
CLASS PURPOSE
Under general supervision, performs work of routine difficulty in the installation of base and mobile radio communications equipment. Performs related work as required.

DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS
This is a class which may lead into the Communications Technical series. Supervision is received from Technicians generally at the level of Senior Communications Technician. This class differs from the Communications Technician in that an incumbent of that class is at the journey working level. Assignments may be made to any shift in an around-the-clock operation, and incumbents must also be available for work on Saturday, Sunday and holidays.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
Any combination of training and experience equivalent to completion of high school and one (1) year of experience in electronics, electrical or mechanical work or related duties.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATES
Possession of a valid California driver's license at time of appointment.
