City of San José Social Media Comment Policy
The City's social media sites are intended to serve as a forum for communication between the public and the City of San José. Comments posted to these sites will be monitored during regular business hours. The City reserves the right to restrict or remove inappropriate comments including those that have obscene language or sexual content, threaten or defame any person or organization, violate intellectual property rights or the legal ownership interest of another party, support or oppose political candidates or ballot propositions, encourage illegal activity, promote commercial services or products or are not topically related to the particular posting. 

Smartphone Applications
At this time, the City is offering two smartphone applications for free.

San José Clean
This free application allows residents with smartphones to point, click, and send photos and reports of graffiti, litter, and City park conditions to City staff. Search for "San José Clean" in the iPhone App Store and in the Android Market.

San José Fire Department's PulsePoint App
This application allows members of the public who are certified in CPR to be notified through their phone of a person in need of CPR who is within walking distance in a public location. The app also features real-time monitoring of dispatched events, notifications for certain event types as selected by the user, connection to an online photo sharing site and ability to monitor fire dispatch radio channels. The PulsePoint app is available for free download at the iPhone App Store and in the Android Market.
