Requirements to be on a Board
City boards and commissions were established for the purpose of advising the City Council and providing ongoing input into policies and issues affecting the future of San José. All persons seeking membership on a board or commission must be a San José residents.

Some commissions have additional membership requirements. For information on all of the City’s Advisory Boards and Commissions please review the City Clerk’s Office's webpage. All meetings are open to the public and copies of the agendas are available at least seven days prior to any regularly scheduled meeting
