The City of San José Housing Department has released a Request for Proposals (RFP) for services to support adults age 65 and older.  This RFP will further the goal to promote aging in place, prevent isolation, and maintain or improve the quality of life of seniors in our community by funding the following types of services for seniors:


·       Transportation

·       Meals and nutrition

·       Shared housing


The application is available on the City’s WebGrants system.  Completed proposals are due on March 15, 2017 at 12:00 PM (Noon).


The City’s Housing staff will conduct an optional application workshop at the following time and location to assist all RFP respondents in completing the application and required forms, and enhance their understanding of applicable requirements and project evaluation criteria:

To request for a Sign-Language Interpreter for this workshop, please contact Arlene Silverio at least three days before the scheduled event by email at Parking is available in the City Hall underground garage.  The entrance is located on South 6th Street between East Santa Clara Street and East San Fernando Street. Please bring your ticket to the workshop for parking validation.

WebGrants is the City of San José citywide web-based grants management database. The Housing Department requires all nonprofits that receive funding to use the system to apply for funds, produce quarterly performance reports, and submit reimbursement requests.
