Step Up and Power Down
Join local businesses in the citywide effort to end energy waste. Sign the Step Up and Power Down pledge to gain free expert assistance on reducing your energy bill. Your business may be eligible for low or no-cost energy efficiency upgrades. By signing the online pledge, you will join a community of local businesses engaged in energy efficiency, receive free training and support to evaluate your energy usage, and be recognized for your participation. Receive free online tools to create a plan fit for your needs with help from a Step Up and Power Down representative.

Small Business Energy Audits & Lighting Retrofits
Lighting upgrades can be one of the most cost effective strategies for improving a facility’s energy efficiency. Silicon Valley Energy Watch together with Ecology Action now provides rate-payer-funded lighting and refrigeration upgrades and low or no cost expert assistance to small and medium sized businesses to help lower energy bills and boost cash flow. Businesses in Santa Clara County are eligible for subsidized retrofits, rebates, incentives and program assistance.

PG&E Business Rebates and Incentives - PG&E offers rebates to commercial, industrial, and agricultural business customers who install qualifying energy efficient products. Rebates are available for the replacement of specific products in existing operational facilities.
New Construction Incentives (Savings by Design)
Savings by Design is a program offered by PG&E to encourage high-performance new building design and construction for commercial buildings. The program offers building owners and their design teams a range of services, such as Design Assistance, Design Team Incentives, Owner Incentives, and an educational resource, energy design resources.

Demand Response
PG&E's demand response programs are designed to enable customers to contribute to energy load reduction during times of peak energy demand. The wide variety of demand response programs offer incentives for business owners who are able to curtail their facility's energy use during peak use hours.

IRS Tax Credit
The Internal Revenue Service offers a number of tax credits for the adaptation of certain high efficiency technologies. Your business may qualify for an Alternative Motor Vehicle Credit, Manufacturers' Energy Efficient Appliance Credit, or Plug-In Electric Drive Vehicle Credit.

This program is funded by California utility customers and administered by PG&E under the auspices of the California Public Utilities Commission.
