Fees
See our Planning Fee Schedule for information on how fees are set and calculated as well as the range of all Planning fees. Full payment of fees is required for a complete application, and no review of the application will begin until fees are paid in full. If full payment of fees is not received within 14 calendar days of notice of application fees due, the application will be considered void. Staff will initiate a refund of all funds received minus the record retention fee, and a new application and full payment of fees will be required to proceed with a project.

Appointments
A number of Planning application submittals require an appoinment, which can be scheduled through our online Application Appointment System. These appointments are conducted at the Planning and Development Services offices located in the third floor the City Hall tower.

Some Planning requests are handled at the Planning Counter of the Development Services Permit Center on the first floor of City Hall. These include a Permit Adjustment, Zoning Verification Letter, Single-Family House Permit, and Tree Removal, along with certain types of administrative permits. See service hours of the Permit Center.
