Pop-up retail arrives in downtown San Jose in time for holiday shopping season.

Pop up LogoFrom therethere to SJ Made, nine pop-up retail stores in Downtown San José will spring to life in the Hammer Theater Center (former San Jose Repertory Theater) and around downtown this holiday season and stay open through January. The pop-up, or temporary, retail spaces will sell a variety of merchandise and arrive in time for holiday shopping—when more than half-a- million people visit the City Center.

About Us

The City of San José's Office of Economic Development (OED) is committed to a vital, competitive San José economy that increases prosperity for people and companies and enhances City revenues.

  • Real Estate and Asset Management: Real Estate and Asset Management, a division of the Office of Economic Development, manages the acquisition and valuation of City owned property.
  • Workforce Development: OED manages work2future, which provides workforce development services to businesses and job seekers in San José and south Santa Clara County. Their One-Stop System brings under one roof a multitude of prepaid employment resources for both job seekers and employers.
