Commission Duties
The Disability Advisory Commission has 11 members. Each member serves a three-year term. Members of the Disability Advisory Commission study, review, evaluate, and make recommendations to the City Council relative to any and all matters affecting persons with disabilities in the City, including education, employment, housing, transportation, recreation, and access to programs and services citywide. The commission is advisory to the City Council and is supported by staff from the Department of Public Works.

The City Council is the final decision-making body. The commission is advisory to the council and works with members of the City’s public works equality assurance staff.

Meetings
The commission meets on the second Monday of February, May, August, and November, starting at 2:30 p.m. in City Hall room W120.
