Work2Future Board
The work2future Board provides strategic planning, policy development and oversight of the local workforce investment systems; approves the disbursement of funds; and oversees and coordinates youth activities through the Youth Council. Its mission is to respond to business needs, and prepare job seekers for full time unsubsidized employment.

The City serves as fiscal and administrative agent and provides funding for sufficient legal, administrative, clerical and technical support, as well as a director. Members are appointed by the CLEO (Chief Local Elected Official) and the mayor. The CLEO also ensures that the membership reflects the approved structure outlined in the Workforce Investment Act of 1998 requiring establishment of a Local Workforce Investment Board (WIB). The board was established in the City of San José in 2000.

The Board meets quarterly on the 3rd Thursday of the month at the Board Room of the San José One Stop located at 1290 Parkmoor Avenue, San José. In addition, there are four (4) sub committees - the Executive Committee, the Finance Committee, the Operations Committee, and the Youth Council - who meet regularly.
