Youth Volunteer Projects

Until you turn 18, you can still help the shelter pets by doing a variety of projects.

Foster a kitten at home
You can still help shelter animals by asking your parents to sign up to temporarily foster a kitten for the shelter

Youth Donate Flyer
Download this flyer and fill in the information to collect donations in your community. All the blankets and toys that shelter animals use are donations, so your contribution makes sure that our pets have a dry towels, soft blankets and beds, and fun toys to play with!

Homemade Toilet Paper Tube Cat Toys
There are tons of simple toys your cat will love to play with, right in your home. There's no need to pay lots of money for a cat toy your cat will ignore or lose under the couch. This cat toy is free, will recycle something that would normally get thrown in the trash and only takes about five minutes to make. What have you got to lose?

Homemade Fleece Dog Toys
A braided fleece toy can be a great homemade toy for a dog, and it has no stuffing or stitching so they hold up better than many other toys. Make sure that if the fleece does start to fall apart that you take the toy away from your pet. Fleece is non digestable, so do not let them eat it.
