Alviso Pump Station
File No. PP15-062
The proposed public project would construct the new Alviso Storm Pump Station and a new force main near the intersection of Catherine and Gold Streets to improve the stormwater capacity and help protect the Alviso area from 100-year storm events. The new pump station would include a new wet well, submersible pumps, a new generator building, a standby engine generator, a new motor control center, fuel tank, valve structure, junction box, force main, outfall discharge structure, transformer, electrical power and control systems, and necessary site improvements.

The existing Gold Street Pump Station and outfall would remain in operational condition during construction and will be used in emergency flooding situations and as back up to the new Alviso Pump Station.

Location

1130 Catherine Street. The project site is located near the intersection of Gold and Catherine Streets, between Liberty Street to the east and Alviso Slough to the west. (Assessors Parcel Numbers: 015-02-004, 015-01-025, 015-01-037, 015-12-115, and 015-12-114).
