San Jose-Santa Clara Regional Wastewater Facility Tours

The San José-Santa Clara Regional Wastewater Facility (RWF) has been treating Silicon Valley’s wastewater and protecting public health and the Bay environment since 1956. In celebration of 60 years of service, the City of San José’s Environmental Services Department invites the public to attend a free bus tour of the wastewater facility.

Join us and learn about:
  • The vital role the RWF plays in protecting public health, safeguarding the San Francisco Bay and wildlife, and supporting the local economy, and
  • The Capital Improvement Program, a multi-year effort to rebuild and modernize the aging facility and one of the largest public works efforts in South Bay history.
