About D3 YES
The District 3 Youth Expo for Sustainability (D3YES!) is an event hosted by the Office of Councilmember Raul Peralez for the schools and youth programs in San Jose's Council District 3 to showcase creative thinking surrounding the United Nation's 17 Sustainable Development Goals.  All teams are invited to critically analyze and propose local solutions relating to one of the 17 goals.

The UN's 17 SDGs are goals that have been developed to ensure the world has a sustainable future through social, economic and environmental action. In late 2015, Councilmember Peralez represented San Jose at the United Nations in New York City in signing a pledge to bringing the SDGs to San Jose.
