SP17-004 The Foundation for Hispanic Education Expansion Project

The project is application for a Special Use Permit to allow the for the expansion of the elementary, secondary, and post-secondary school use from a permitted capacity of 450 students to a total of 1,530 students. The project proposes to build new classroom buildings, which will allow an increase of school capacity to approximately 1,300 students by the 2018-2019 school year and 1,530 students at a future date. This enrollment figure includes up to 200 potential students in an evening teacher credential program. As part of the increase in the number of allowable students on campus, the project also proposes to demolish 11,623 square feet of existing classrooms and construct 27,500 square feet of new classroom buildings. The new classroom buildings consist of two single–story portable classroom buildings and one permanent two-story classroom building.
