Available Grants
The City of San José manages a multitude of federal, State and local grants. These grants include the federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG), HOME Investment Partnership (HOME), Housing Opportunities for People with AIDS (HOPWA), Housing Opportunities for People with AIDS - Special Project of National Significance (HOPWA-PSH) and the Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP). Locally, the City of San José also administers a Housing Trust Fund (HTF) that supports primarily homeless activities. The Grants Management unit is responsible for ensuring that grant recipients of these funds implement, manage and administer the funds in accordance with federal and local rules and regulations. This is done through a series of workshops, one-on-one technical assistance, and site visits all directed toward providing grant recipients the tools they need to succeed.
