A Vendor's Guide for Doing Business with the City of San José

Vendor Registration / BidSync
The City of San José has partnered with BidSync to post, distribute and to receive electronic responses to the City’s solicitations. To be a prospective supplier to obtain information on current bids, past bids, etc. from the City, please register at BidSync. There is no charge to view and/or receive notices about the City of San José’s Bids. For more information refer to Bid Opportunities.

Insurance
Vendors who perform a general service for the City will be required to submit proof of insurance coverage as specified by the City of San José’s risk manager.

Conflict of Interest
The City of San José wants to provide a fair opportunity to participants in competitive processes for the award of City contracts by promulgating integrity and removal of Conflicts of Interests through the inclusion of the following components in all competitive solicitations. To ensure integrity in the procurement and contract process, please refer to the Conflict of Interest Policy.

Environmentally Preferable Procurement
The City has adopted an “Environmentally Preferable Procurement” (EPP) program. The goal is to encourage the procurement of products and services that help to minimize environmental impact resulting from use and disposal of these products. The City of San José is very committed to promoting opportunities with local and small businesses. It is the policy of the City of San José to encourage local and small business activity.
