6th Annual Citywide Youth Conference –
Friday, June 14, 2013 – San José City Hall

Dream it, Live it, a Teen Entrepreneurial Conference

Each year, in an effort to empower youth across San José, the San José Youth Commission hosts a citywide Youth Conference.  Now in its sixth year, the 2013 conference, entitled Dream it, Live it, aims to inform, inspire and empower youth to become the next generation of entrepreneurs. 

On Friday, June 14, 2013 from 8:00a.m – 5:00p.m, conference attendees will experience an interactive and engaging atmosphere where dreams and ideas will be shared and entrepreneurship will be fostered.  Dream it, Live It conference workshops include the basics of business, developing the interpersonal skills of an entrepreneur, and many others.

The Youth Commission was formed to foster greater involvement of youth in municipal government, specifically to study any problems, activities and concerns of youth relating to municipal policies, programs or projects of the City of San José. The Commission makes recommendations to the City Council and to the Recreation, Parks and Community Services Department on these issues, conducts forums to involve youth in the governmental decision-making process.
