The 2008 California Clean Tech Open launched in the San Jose City Hall Rotunda, bringing with it some of the world's most innovative minds. During the event, Mayor Chuck Reed suprised the crowd by offering a challenge, calling on solar companies to develop ways for San Jose residents to install solar energy systems on their homes at no cost.
