Project Safety

• A chain link fence has been installed around the project site between 4th and 6th Streets.
• Multi-lingual signage as appropriate will be used on the project site to alert members of the public to potential hazards.
• Pedestrian traffic closed on the construction side of the street.
• Construction parking will be located across from the site on corner of 5th and Santa Clara across from First United Methodist Church. Demolition began in August 2002. This lot is fenced and secured for construction related uses only. No public parking will be available.
• In accordance with the Environmental Impact Report (EIR), an archaeologist is on site during excavation and foundation work.
