Grand Opening - "Community Building - Building Community"

City Hall held its Grand Opening celebration on Saturday, October 15. Over 5,000 guests enjoyed the day’s festivities. Free activities included building tours, children’s activities, music and cultural performances, History of San Jose and Sister Cities exhibits.

The Mayor and City Council rolled out the red carpet for the community. Event attendees had the first look at the glass-enclosed Rotunda. Many explored San José’s newest community building, City Hall, with an expansive civic plaza, engaging public art, a consolidated customer service center and state of the art City Council Chamber.
