GIS Data Visualization Files
This page provides files created by the Planning Division to support three-dimensional visualization of existing and planned land uses and development in the City of San Jose. These files were developed using Google Earth, Google SketchUp, and MapInfo Professional software.
Please note that these files are intended for general visualization purposes only, and should not be used as a substitute for detailed land use information provided elsewhere on this website. If you have any questions about the allowable uses/development of property, please contact our Development Services Center at (408) 535-3555.

A Google Earth file containing non photo-textured 3D representations of buildings in Downtown San Jose viewable in Google Earth. This file was created with the assistance of the San Jose Redevelopment Agency. If you have Google Earth installed, clicking on this file will launch Google Earth automatically. The City of San Jose Planning Divisions has partnered with Google to add our Downtown Sketchup file to the Google Earth 3D Warehouse "Cities in Development" page. It is our goal to enlist the help of the public to add photos to our buildings to make them photo-realistic. Visit our space in the Google Earth 3D Warehouse to view the progress so far!
