Help Shape The Cultural Future of San Jose

The City of San Jose is preparing a Cultural Vision Plan to guide the community's cultural development in the coming decade. This plan will inform Envision San Jose 2040, the update to the City's general plan and will also function as a stand alone plan for the Office of Cultural Affairs, City government and our partners in the community.

Cultural Vision Plan Town Hall Meeting

This structured forum will bring together community members, artists, and civic and cultural leaders to explore key elements of a cultural vision for San Jose. Your voice will enrich this discussion.

A keynote address will be provided by Moy Eng, outgoing Arts Program Manager for the Flora and William Hewlett Foundation and an artist, in which she will share insights into arts, culture and community from her eight year tenure with the foundation.

DATE/TIME: Saturday, November 14; 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM Lunch will be included.

LOCATION: City Hall - Council Wing Meeting Rooms 118-120; 200 E.

Land Use Study Scenario Selection

On June 16, 2009 the City Council accepted the Task Force and staff recommendations on where to locate jobs and housing growth capacity in the four Land Use Study Scenarios, including recommendations on the Coyote Valley Urban Reserve, the South Almaden Valley Urban Reserves and the Evergreen Campus Industrial properties. Draft Program Environmental Impact Report

The Draft Program Environmental Impact Report (PEIR) for the Envision San Jose 2040 General Plan Update is currently being prepared. A separate EIR Notice of Availability will be circulated when the Draft PEIR becomes available for public review and comments (currently anticipated to begin in December 2010).
