District 3
I am Adán Omar Lupercio and Vice Mayor Cindy Chavez appointed me in October of 2003 as the District 3 Youth Commissioner. In addition to being a Commissioner, I also sit as the Commission Chair.

I am a student at San Jose City College and plan to transfer to a four-year institution in the next two years to pursue a degree in political science. My goal is to be a policy maker in the world of politics and bring positive change to our government and state. In my spare time I enjoy playing a variety of sports including soccer, baseball and football. I also enjoy being an advocate for my community and increasing awareness about politics to the youth in my neighborhood.

The District 3 Youth Advisory Council (YAC) currently has 12 active members and collaborates with many youth and other community volunteers.

Three events that the D3 YAC and I are working on include planning a Disneyland trip for 10 low income families, planning a youth dance as a fundraiser for the YAC and a youth conference for youth in district 3 and 5.

As the Chair of the Commission, I invite you to contact us or attend one of our monthly meetings to lear more about the City of San José Youth Commission, our upcoming events and our political endeavours
