The Department of Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Services offers senior programs in each Council District. Please call the Office on Aging at (408) 979-7915 to find out which Center is closest to you or use the Center link to the left.

Use this link to find out about Services offered by the Office on Aging. Center activities include a wide array of free or low-cost classes, extensive fitness and wellness programs, dances, drop-in activities, guest speakers, cultural events, clubs, Bingo and trips. No or low-cost services include health insurance counseling, information and assistance, legal assistance, housing, Vial of life, transportation, health clinics, blood pressure checks, notary services, brown bag and income tax preparation.

Each Center offers a hot meal served at 12 noon and there are hundreds of opportunities to become a volunteer. Centers provide free transportation to the Center in City Vans or through the Outreach Program.

Most programs are designed for those aged 50+ and are offered through your local Senior and Community Centers. You will find the current activity listings in our Citywide Activities Guide link. Programs are listed by center.
