Young people seeking the "smell of the greasepaint and the roar of the crowd" find satisfaction in the programs offered by the San José Young People's Theater Company. Children and youth from Kindergarden through High School are welcome to participate in acting workshops and camps and to audition for major productions. Grade levels are for this current school year (2007 / 2008) and activities are grade appropriate. All camps are held at Kirk Community Center’s Little Theater (1601 Foxworthy Ave.)

Performance Theater Camps
Young People’s Theater Co. will be offering a wide variety of one-week Performance Theater Camps in the summer of 2008. For grades K–12 Tentatively scheduled camps include
June 16-20: Bootcamp Basics (Grades 2-5)
June 23-27: Bootcamp I (Grades 2-3)
July 7-11: Bootcamp II (Grades 4-5)
July 14-28: Performance Camp- Actor’s Studio (Grades 6-12)
July 21-25: Performance Camp- Snow White (Grades 2-5)
July 28-Aug. 1: Performance Camp- Into the Woods (Grades 6-12)
