“Grace Community Center is a great place to make art. Our community is amazingly creative and supportive, making it a very inspiring and nonjudgmental environment to play and try new things! At our center we try to encourage a balance between skill building and having fun and relaxing. We offer many opportunities to gain support with symptoms of mental illness and to connect with others in a safe and accepting space.”
Lisa is a member of our art therapy team and began working at Grace in January 2007 after moving to the west coast from Chicago. She holds a Master’s in expressive therapies with a specialization in mental health counseling and art therapy which she received from Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Lisa’s specialties include: cognitive behavioral methodologies, Dialectical behavior therapy, anger management, mental health recovery and relapse prevention, addictions treatment, autism, and trauma work.
