The Commission advises the City Council on the City's system of parks, playgrounds, recreation centers and facilities, recreation programs, including community sports, plays, celebrations and other recreation activities.

Senior Citizens
Composed of fifteen members under the Office on Aging. The members are appointed by the City of San José City Council to advise the City on matters of importance to seniors.
