clean-up needs to be finished before work
begins on park
restoration. To save time during
the required environmental
review process, however,
restoration planning has begun in tandem with the clean-up planning.
A Final Draft of the Master Plan Report for Watson Park is now available
for comment. The report will be presented to the Park and Recreation Commission
for comment at their regular meeting on February 20th. The meeting is open
to the public and no action will be taken at that meeting. The next steps are to obtain environmental
clearance for the Master Plan and request
Master Plan approval from the Park and Recreation
Commission and the City Council. No firm
dates are set for these hearings. The target
milestone for Council approval is August,
2008.
