Holidays
"Holidays" means New Year's Day, January 1st; Washington's birthday, the third Monday in February; Memorial Day, the last Monday in May; Independence Day, July 4th; Labor Day, the first Monday in September; Columbus Day, the second Monday in October; Veteran's Day, November 11th; Thanksgiving Day, the fourth Thursday in November; and Christmas Day, December 25th; and such other days as shall be designated by the Chief of Police with the concurrence of the city manager.
If the first day of January, the fourth of July, the eleventh day of November, or the twenty-fifth day of December falls on Sunday, the Monday following is a holiday. If the eleventh day of November falls on Saturday, the preceding Friday is a holiday.
