Office of Equality Assurance

Division Manager: Nina Grayson

The Office of Equality Assurance (OEA) is a division of the Department of Public Works responsible for implementation of City of San José Living Wage and Prevailing Wage Policies. OEA ensures that contractors and vendors pay their employees mandated wage and benefit rates in accordance with City, State and Federal regulations including prevailing wage and living wage programs and policies.

OEA is also responsible for coordinating citywide efforts to comply with Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act and ensuring that all City services, programs and activities are accessible to individuals with disabilities. These responsibilities include providing staff support to the Disability Advisory Commission.
