WIA-Rapid Response Program
|
Funds used to assist workers to quickly return to productive positions in the labor force by providing counseling workships on financial assistance and career counseling services. Work2future conducted outreach to various employers that were planning employee layoffs, as well as conducted informational workshops to workers who were subject to layoff. These workshops were focused on informing workers of the many services that are available to them through work2future. Funds were also used to support studies focused on regional and targeted job growth and best Rapid Response practices learned from other Rapid Response providers regarding proactive engagement with businesses, effective marketing of services, performance measurement, customer feedback and the importance of small business and entrepreneurship to improve the local and regional economy.
