Vehicle Spotter Program
 

The Vehicle Spotter Program (VSP) is a volunteer partnership between residents and the City of San José to address neighborhood blight from inoperable, stored or abandoned vehicles parked on a public street longer than 72 hours.



VSP Program Benefits:

  • Partnership with residents
  • Reduce re-inspections of abandoned vehicles
  • Sustain 1-2 day initial response time

VSP PROGRAM OVERVIEW:

  • Report vehicles via email: vsp@sanjoseca.gov or
  • Fax 408/288-7322 ATTN VSP
  • Vehicles marked and tagged by abatement officer
  • Eligible Vehicles towed by abatement officer

  • Contact the parking compliance unit of your interest at 408/534-2900 or
  • SEND AN EMAIL TO: vsp@sanjoseca.gov
  • Type in the subject box: “volunteer”
  • Complete the VSP training program
  • Sign the city’s volunteer agreement
