The City of San José Bicycle Pedestrian Advisory Committee
(BPAC) provides the City and its policymakers, the City Council,
with advice and suggestions on accommodating bicyclists and
pedestrians throughout San José. The Committee consists
of up to 11 members, all of whom are appointed by the City’s
Director of Transportation.
BPAC meets approximately ten times per year, generally on
the second Monday of the month. Meetings are open to the public.
Agenda and minutes are posted on this web site seven
days before meetings (see below). Members must live or work
in San José.
BPAC member terms last two years, with six seats expiring
in even years and five in odd years. Terms run from July 1
through June 30. Applications are accepted during the months
of May and June. Anyone interested in applying may request
an application by sending an email to bike.ped@sanjoseca.gov.
