In cooperation with the Caltrain Joint Powers Board (JPB) and the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA), the City of San José has established the Caltrain Central Engineering Maintenance and Operations Facility (CEMOF) Oversight Committee to address community concerns and protect City interests in the development of the Caltrain Maintenance Facility at Lenzen Avenue. The Committee is the result of hard work and negotiation between community members, the City and the JPB in an effort to ensure that the new maintenance yard would not negatively impact surrounding neighborhoods. The Committee meetings are held on the 3rd Thursday of each month and works to monitor the ongoing development and future operation of the Caltrain Facility. This website is intended to provide useful background and information regarding the facility and to offer up to the minute status reports regarding the construction and operation of the Lenzen Yard.
