METER HOODS (On-Street)
To facilitate construction occurring within a meter
zone, contractors may be eligible for renting a meter hood from the City.
Meter hoods provide the ability for contractors to park at a meter in
excess of the posted time limit and without having to deposit coins in
the meter on a continuous basis. Meter Hoods may be obtained from the
Department of Transportation at 200 E. Santa Clara Street between
the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Click

note that a copy of a valid construction license may be required when
applying for the meter hood.
Meter Hood Rental Rate:
- Administrative Fee - $20 per hood rental
- Hood Deposit Fee - $50 per hood
- Rental Fees
- Construction Hood - $5/day or $30/week (3-week minimum)
- Service Hood - $125/month (1-month minimum)
