SERVICES | PERMITS | TOW-AWAY Tow-away permits can be issued for the purpose of street cleaning, street repair, or installation of underground utilities. For streets that need to be coned-off for traffic diversion, a traffic plan must be approved by the Department of Transportation and the Public Works Department. Tow-away signs must be posted at least 24 hours in advance of work or event. Permits are not issued for advertising or reserving parking areas for employees. The City does not issue permits to place trash dumpsters on residential streets, except in the Downtown area. Citizens must place their Dumpsters on their property. FEES
