The DST has recently completed an upgrade to its Highway Advisory Radio (HAR) system. The upgrade included the implementation of a new software system called the DR2000A Highway Advisory Radio Control by Highway Information System and upgrades to the City's 10-watt broadcast station located near the intersection of Auzerais St and Woz Wy. The upgrades increased broadcast reception around the Downtown area and will permit City staff to develop a message library to help motorists travel in and out of Downtown during event and incident traffic. The HAR system broadcast on 1330 AM. Future projects
for the HAR system will include a signage program to advise motorist when
to tune into the radio station. |
