Caring for Your Street Tree and the Community Forest

MD1: The Paseos 1, 2 & 3

Description
md1
The landscape features maintained by MD 1 are found in three (3) landscaped walkways called Paseos. The Paseos are nestled between residential housing and were built as a source of connection within the community. They serve as a natural setting that promotes a sense of tranquility and wild life habitat. The three paseos include:
• Paseo 1, beginning on Via Rotella and concluding at Los Paseos Park
• Paseo 2, beginning at Avenida Espana and concluding at Cheltenham
• Paseo 3, beginning at Avenida Espana and concluding at Gresham Court.
The Paseos are the oldest special district in the city and this upcoming year the Paseos will receive a make-over that will include a re-design and planting of many new trees. We will be looking for community input for this project.

Tree Services

md1.2
Tree management services are provided for all trees in the public areas (the Paseo landscape), but do not include the street trees on the residential streets. Services include:
• Pruning, planting and removal/replacement
• Fertilization
• Monitoring
• Pest control using Integrated Pest Management (IPM) techniques
