Meeting Purpose: To describe the environmental review scope, the City’s review process, and to obtain community input on the content of the EIR.
Comments, concerns, and questions raised at this meeting will become part of the public record and will help focus the project’s environmental documents as they move forward in the review process. There are continued opportunities throughout the permit process to publicly comment on the project as illustrated in the permit process chart below.
Proposed Project: The project site is on the northeast corner of South White Road and Tully Road (2050-2079 South White Road; former Pleasant Hills Golf Course). The project applicant seeks the following entitlements: General Plan Amendment (GP22-010) to change the General Plan land use designation from Private Recreation and Open Space to Mixed-Use Neighborhood and Urban Residential; Annexation (EVERGREEN 204) to annex approximately 114 gross acres of land from Santa Clara County to the City of San José; Planned Development Prezoning (PDC25-015) to prezone the site to the MUN(PD) Planned Development Zoning District; Planned Development Permit (PD25-007), for the construction of up to 50,000 square feet of commercial space and up to 2,000 residential units through the demolition of three existing outbuildings and the removal of 1,006 trees (725 ordinance-size); and Vesting Tentative Map (T25-004) to subdivide three existing parcels into approximately 200 parcels.
