The 1.8 acre park is along Almaden Road, south of Alma Avenue. Park features include a basketball court, two large turf areas, playground equipment for tots and youth, several picnic tables, shade structures and a drinking fountain. The park is visually defined by a detailed pavement pattern that recalls the traditional baskets woven by the Ohlone / Muwekma native people of the Bay Area. The park is named for Antonio Balermino, himself an Ohlone, was born in 1782, and owned and managed a large rancho which once extended through present day central and west San Jose.
