  • What is the minimum age to swim during Lap Swim?
    • Mature teens at least 14 years of age may also swim, if accompanied by an adult 18 years or older for the duration of use.
  • How do I register for Water Aerobics?
    • Water Aerobics is not available at this time.
  • Do I have to make a reservation for Lap Swim?
    •  Lap Swim is on a first-come, first-serve basis.
  • How do I purchase a pass?
    • You can purchase your Punch Pass or Daily Pass at the front desk Monday - Thursday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. or Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • What is a Punch Pass?
    • A punch pass for Lap Swim is a physical card with 10 visits + 1 free bonus visit. Each visit is marked off with a hole puncher.
  • How many people to a lane?
    • Due to varying customer volume, lane sharing may be required. We allow up to four (4) per lane, based on swimming skill level. By signing in, patrons agree to share lanes with additional swimmers when necessary.
  • Will Lap Swim be open if it's raining?
    • Yes, Lap Swim is open rain or shine!
  • Are there lifeguards on duty?
    • Yes, lifeguards will always be on duty at pools at the City of San José Aquatic Centers.

Camden Pool is located in Camden Community Center. This pool offers summer Swim Lessons. This is an outdoor single-pool facility with a shade structure.

Recreational Swim

2025 Summer Recreational Swim ended on August 9, 2025.

Lap Swim

Lap Swim is open from August 18, 2025 - June 6, 2026.

Lap Swim will be closed the following dates in observance of City holidays:

  • Thursday, November 27 through Saturday, November 29
  • Monday, December 22 through Thursday, January 1

Lap Swim hours are:

  • Monday - Friday: 4:30 - 8 p.m.
  • Tuesday / Thursday: 7:30 - 10 a.m.
  • Saturday: 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Lap Swim single visit fees are $6 for adults 18+ and $3 for youth, older adults 50+, and people with disabilities. Lap Swim 10 visit punch pass fees are $50 for adults 18+ and $30 for youth, older adults 50+, and people with disabilities. There is one free visit on the 11th visit with a punch pass.

To purchase a single-day visit or a punch pass, please visit the Camden Community Center during normal business hours.

All Lap Swim participants must be 14 years or older.
