  • What is the minimum age to swim during Lap Swim?
    • Mature teens at least 14 years of age may also swim, if accompanied by an adult 18 years or older for the duration of use.
  • How do I register for Water Aerobics?
    • Water Aerobics is not available at this time.
  • Do I have to make a reservation for Lap Swim?
    •  Lap Swim is on a first-come, first-serve basis.
  • How do I purchase a pass?
    • You can purchase your Punch Pass or Daily Pass at the front desk Monday - Thursday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. or Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • What is a Punch Pass?
    • A punch pass for Lap Swim is a physical card with 10 visits + 1 free bonus visit. Each visit is marked off with a hole puncher.
  • How many people to a lane?
    • Due to varying customer volume, lane sharing may be required. We allow up to four (4) per lane, based on swimming skill level. By signing in, patrons agree to share lanes with additional swimmers when necessary.
  • Will Lap Swim be open if it's raining?
    • Yes, Lap Swim is open rain or shine!
  • Are there lifeguards on duty?
    • Yes, lifeguards will always be on duty at pools at the City of San José Aquatic Centers.

Fair Swim Center is a multi-pool facility and features zero depth entry pool for toddlers, a slide pool with three water features, and a large lap pool with a depth of 3.5 feet to 12 feet. The swim center also features a large grass field, picnic area, a kitchen with serving doors to the pool deck, and multiple shade structures. It's the perfect location for pool parties.
