A PLACE IN TIME

A Place In Time created by artist Bill Gould serves as a beautiful artwork treatment for the Vista Park Community Center, but more than a beautiful enhancement, the gates, at either end of the exterior breezeway between the two buildings, also protect the breezeway when the park is closed.  

 Through words, symbols and images, the A Place In Time gates touch on the people and events that have created the Vista Park neighborhood, geographically, historically, and culturally. While the area itself is a continuum, always evolving, words, images and symbols in the artwork reflect the community today and also acknowledge history and evolution of this area. The artist worked closely with the community group that oversees the Vista Park Community Center and with the overall community in the design of the set of gates and the imagery content on them.
