Updates on City of San José Services and/or Operations
- Public Health Public Service Announcements (PSAs): Community leaders continue to share the importance of staying home and practicing physical distancing when outdoors in social media videos in multiple languages. Watch the videos on Twitter: Camille Llanes-Fontanilla, Executive Director of SOMOS Mayfair (English); Ellie Derakhshesh-Clelland, Chair of Refugee & Immigrant Forum of Santa Clara County (Farsi); and Celina Rodriguez, Reporter for La Kaliente Radio (Spanish).
- Pausing Library Donations: Due to the temporary closure of all San José Public Library buildings, the library is not accepting book donations at this time. Help keep the exterior of the libraries clean and clutter-free by not leaving donations outside. Once the libraries re-open, donations of books will be accepted, but until then, the library appreciates your understanding and cooperation. - Update: Additional parking lots at neighborhood parks will be closed over the holiday weekend. To prevent overcrowding, San Jose regional parks and neighborhood park parking lots will be closed on Saturday, April 11 and Sunday, April 12. Neighborhood parks will remain open, with the exception of certain parking lots, see full list below. Social gatherings, including egg hunts, are prohibited. Residents must follow Santa Clara County’s physical distancing orders, avoid gathering or engaging in group activities, and comply with amenity closures. See table below for a full list of closures.
