A
male lemur pup was born at Happy Hollow Park & Zoo (HHPZ) on April 6, adding a curious youngster into the lemur community. The Department of Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Services’ HHPZ is dedicated to the conservation of the critically endangered black-and-white ruffed lemurs. HHPZ participates in a Species Survival Plan program through the Association of Zoos and Aquariums, which means the Zoo is home to threatened or endangered species in the wild. Zookeepers are currently selecting names, and will let the public choose their favorite. For more information, please contact Justin Long, PRNS Deputy Director, at (408) 793-5579.
