PRNS is an Ideal Service Opportunity for Teens

Post Date:04/20/2018

The Department of Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Services’ Volunteer Management Unit and Anti-Litter Program were featured in the latest issue of the Bay Area Parent. More than 550 teens volunteer in the Anti-Litter Program a year. Teens can also volunteer at Happy Hollow Park & Zoo to help with animal care, assist camp counselors and educate visitors. The Youth Commission is another teen service opportunity that was highlighted. The Commission supports teen civic leadership. Youth commissioners advise the City Council on community issues that impact youth. For more information, please contact Neil Rufino, PRNS Deputy Director, at (408) 535-3508.
